NFC stands for Near Field Communication: it is the same technology you use to pay for coffee with your phone. In a business card, the chip transmits a radio signal at very short range when a phone is brought close to it.

No app required. Neither you nor your client needs a dedicated app. iOS and Android have managed NFC natively for years: the operating system reads the chip and opens the page or contact you have programmed.

How is it programmed? On the chip you can store a URL, a Linktree profile, an online vCard, or contact data directly in vCard format. We configure everything before delivery, and you can update it whenever you like.

iPhone: from iPhone 7 onwards, NFC reading happens automatically when you hold the phone near the card. A notification appears at the top of the screen โ€” one tap and you are in the client's profile. Android: works on almost all devices from 2015, often even with the screen off.

The chip integrated in Wood-Touch is an NTAG216: 888 bytes of memory, rewritable over 100,000 times, compatible with all modern NFC standards.
