NFC wood card vs paper: 5 reasons to switch
Paper cards are still the standard, but in 2026 every contact left on a printed sheet risks being forgotten. Here are five reasons why a wood NFC card changes the way you introduce yourself.
Read article →
1. It stays with you. With Wood-Touch you leave nothing behind: hold the card near the client's phone, contacts transfer, and the card comes back to your pocket. No more reprints every time you change your number or address.
2. Updatable in real time. The NFC chip reprograms in seconds. Change your website, add a LinkedIn profile, update your email — no reprinting, no extra cost.
3. No app needed. iPhone 7 and later, and almost all Android devices from 2015 onwards, read NFC natively. The client holds their phone near the card and your contacts appear. Done.
4. Memorable for whoever receives it. Wood can be touched, it has weight, it has texture. It is remembered. A sheet of paper is not. Leaving a physical impression is still the most powerful way to network.
5. Zero long-term cost. No top-ups, no reprints, no subscriptions. A paper card costs less per unit, but over three years of use wood always wins.

How the NFC chip works — simple guide
NFC stands for Near Field Communication: the same technology you use to pay with your phone. In a business card, the chip transmits a radio signal at very short range when a phone is held near it.

No app required. Neither you nor your client needs a dedicated app. iOS and Android have managed NFC natively for years: the operating system reads the chip and opens the page or contact you have programmed.
How is it programmed? On the chip you can store a URL, a Linktree profile, an online vCard, or contact data directly in vCard format. We configure everything before delivery, and you can update it whenever you like.
iPhone: from iPhone 7 onwards, NFC reading happens automatically when you hold the phone near the card. A notification appears at the top of the screen — one tap and you are in the client's profile. Android: works on almost all devices from 2015, often even with the screen off.
The chip integrated in Wood-Touch is an NTAG216: 888 bytes of memory, rewritable over 100,000 times, compatible with all modern NFC standards.

Friuli craftsmanship: why we choose Larch and Oak for Wood-Touch
In Friuli, wood is not a generic raw material — it is part of the landscape, the culture, and centuries of Alpine woodworking. When we chose the wood species for Wood-Touch, we looked at what our territory knows best.

Larch. It grows on the Carnic and Julian Prealps, resists everything: humidity, temperature swings, mechanical wear. It has a dense, compact grain with warm, irregular veining that makes every card different from the next. In your pocket, Larch ages well — like a leather belt, it gains character over time.
Oak. Darker, heavier, more solemn. The same wood used for centuries in aging barrels and fine flooring. On a business card it carries a natural elegance that needs no explanation: whoever touches it feels it immediately.
Every plank is inspected before cutting: we look for regular grain, no structural knots, correct seasoning. We only choose wood we would use for a bespoke piece of furniture.
It is this selection, combined with three-layer cross-grain construction, that makes Wood-Touch an object that does not break, does not bend, and does not disappoint.

NFC wood business card for real estate agents and brokers
In real estate and insurance, the first contact is everything. Clients meet dozens of agents: the one who stays in their mind is the one who leaves a different impression.

Wood-Touch is designed exactly for this context. At viewings, trade fairs, open houses — any time you want to transfer your contacts instantly — you hold the card near the client's phone and in three seconds your name, number, email and website are already saved in their phone.
You leave no paper, nothing to lose. The card comes back with you. If tomorrow you change agency, a new link on the chip: no reprinting, no cost, no client calling your old number.
Many agents use a Wood-Touch card as a qualification tool: whoever holds up their phone is an interested client. Whoever does not, probably was not anyway.

Why we offer a lifetime warranty on a wood business card
When we say it, the first reaction is often disbelief: "A lifetime warranty on a business card?" Yes. No asterisks, no hidden conditions.
Read article →
The reason is simple: we are so confident in the construction that the warranty costs us nothing. In three layers of solid wood bonded under pressure with cross-grain orientation there is almost nothing that can break with everyday use. The NTAG216 NFC chip is certified for over 100,000 write cycles — far more than you will ever use in a professional lifetime.
The only case where the warranty actually kicks in is a manufacturing defect we did not catch before delivery. And in that case, replacing the card is simply the right thing to do — not an extraordinary act of generosity.
Offering a lifetime warranty is also a commitment to ourselves: it forces us not to cut corners on wood selection, bonding, or engraving. Every card that leaves the workshop carries our name — literally, in the engraving — and we cannot afford to do it badly.
